knowing your rights is important because if you don't know what your able to do you could end up going to jail and you wont know what you can ask what you can sell if the product is able to be sold because you also could end up having to pay a lot of money to anther company  and if your able to use that name because anther company could have that name and get sued and if you copy there idea.
