The power of one is directed by John G Avildsen I will be covering three shots that the director used I will be doing close up, long shot and diegetic in the scene with jappie and child p.k.


He uses a close up to show the tension between the two boys and the hatred that jappie shows for p.k.
It shows that jappie hates p.k because he’s an English boy and the English where the one who killed some afrikana people so for that he puts his hatred on p.k.
 director wanted to use A close up to show the tension between the two and show how the Afrikaners hated the English.
It the scene, it links back to how jappie really feels about the English and how strong his hatred is for p.k and the English.
When jappie gets caught and slapped it reminded me of when Sargent Borman said he got put down and treated like crap.


Also during that scene that scene he used a long shot to show something that is happening to a character.
You can tell because throw out that sene the long shot is used to show jappie getting slapped and p.ks chicken dying.
The director used the long shot for those scenes to show how everyone was feeling and to show how everything happened to the charter.
In the sense that used the long shots, it showed how sad p.k or the Afrikaners were an example of this it showed p.k running about wanting to get his chicken down or when the Afrikaners teacher came in and it showed how everyone was scared of him.
It shows when p.k loses that chicken the only friend he had had for a while it links back to when he loses a girl that he likes later on in the movie.

The angle shown in this scene shows that geel peit is precede up against the wall with a baton under neath his neck and Geel Peit is out of breath and scared

It is to show Geel Peit as weak vulnerable person to and shows that Sargent Borman is the strong charterer

In the scene it makes the audience feel sympathetic for Geel Peit and worried for him.

English sexxy Paragraph

In English we’re working in groups to form Sexxy Paragraph to explain the power of one movie 

1.The director uses a Long shot to highlight everything going on in this scene.

    

2. The angle of this long shot is focusing on Sergeant Borman’s legs with Geel Piet ahead of him, suggesting there’s going to be a confrontation.

3. The Director’s purpose was to show inferiority and superiority. It shows from the angle that Sergeant is superior while Geel Piet is inferior.

4. The angle and position of the camera makes it clear to the audience that there is going to be some kind of confrontation. This right away makes the viewers nervous. We knew Geel Piet was guilty of holding the tobacco, we’re automatically scared and panicked for him. We feel utter sympathy for Geel Piet although we know he’s broken the rules.

5.You can link this to the scene where geel piet got beaten by Sergeant Borman.

Hi i'm Zavier i'm a yr 10 student at hornby high school i  have spent the last few lessons  using the site called Venngage to make an info-graphic about how to Improve your posture so you don't get long term damage . Reflection

 I learnt a lot about my correct siting posture so you don't get a sore back or bad vision how far to be away from your screen. And I learnt a lot about  the site Venngage it is a good sight to make posters of certain things it easy to use and a lot of free images.
